Dear all,

Over the last year I have managed to be involved in a number of large scale projects that I am really grateful for. They include:

1. The Last of the Steamers

2. Song of the Year 2012

3. Oranges and Lemons (currently in development)

I had an idea that it would be good to have a page dedicated to past clients feedback where they can explain about the whole experience and offer any advice. I feel this will be beneficial for me to take on board, but also for other people looking to see my progress or collaborate with me.

I hope this page grows as time goes on and I broaden my horizon and work with more people.

Music Creation Pledge

Dear every person that exists on this earth,

I have decided to give myself a challenge to help me practice at composing electronic music.

Task

Throughout the month of May, I am going to create a new piece of music every week. I will compose it and then later throughout that week I will edit it and add further ideas if necessary.

Guidelines

The most important thing for me is that I will let all this happen freely and will allow my ideas to flow. I will make sure that I don’t judge and not think too much about it. I also won’t expect myself to make completely finished songs either.

The main purpose of this challenge is to have fun making music.

Reasons

I have noticed that I don’t have much electronic music on my Soundcloud and I know the reason why. I am a bit hesitant of putting music that I think is crap, or not completely amazing or something. But, i think its important for me to be able to accept the music that I create and be willing to share it with the world.

I was also really inspired by Propellerhead. (the people that make the music program called Reason) Two years ago in May, Propellerhead featured a music making month, where they had all different musicians, producers, sound designers, song writers, companies etc. come in and talk via live video and share their experience and give advice to others. It was beautiful, they also encouraged all the users to make music and send it to propellerhead so it could have a chance at appearing in the next video. What a wonderful idea this all was, and what a way to bring everyone together to talk, learn, and experience.

So I hope you enjoy this guys, if it all goes well, I will continue until July 12th, which will mean that when I break up for the holidays on this day, I will have released ten tracks of new music.

The Year Ahead

Dear all,

A new year has begun. I thought I would follow in the style of my friends, and make a post about my aims and what I hope to achieve this year. Below is the main projects that I will be working on:

Make a return to Youtubeland

I used to have a Youtube channel, but I deleted it one day after getting worried that people would think ill of me. I of course know now that these were only the fears I have about myself, and that I shouldn’t be ashamed or scared of who I AM. I plan to make my return to Youtube, but this time I will try something different and use it for a different purpose! I won’t give much away, but it will be more tailored towards my fans that are interested in making electronic music.

Social Outlook

I plan to also make more use of social networks like Facebook and Twitter! Richard has been telling me for a while that I should consider these avenues and now I think is the time for Jamie Rama Productions to join in! I aim to use these networks to share my work with others i am connected too, not so much to be popular, but to give people a chance to see my work if they are interested.

Jamie and the Sunshine Band!

Thats the name for me Dan and Mike, and the projects we work on! I plan to get together with these two Legends and turn these scrapbook dreams into a musical reality! I look forward to meeting these guys again this year as it is always such a pleasure to see them.

Did I hear you say, Piano Album…..VOL 2?

If any of you have been fans of my piano work, let me tell you, some more piano tunes are on their way! Ive been practising and crafting Vol 2 for a while now, but I plan to get it recorded and delivered by JRP this year!

Aliens write melodies?

I plan to work on this idea I have for an alien/soundscape/melodies/concept/project thingy i’m gonna be composing music for. I plan to release a small EP that will follow on the soft sound of “Peace” and if all goes well here, I will maybe create an album which will showcase a musical journey in space or something along those lines!

And last but not least….Jamie Rama Productions writes novels?

I have some interesting dreams you know guys! some of them are so good that I get the inspiration to one day make them into a story. I have already written a plan after I had a dream and the story is already there in my mind, I just have to go to that space, enter that world, and then write about it! Last year I thought I would try something new and had the idea about making a podcast…this year…..I want to release a story on Kindle!

Most important of all, I just want to enjoy this year and allow all to happen and flow into existence in their own time! I hope you have a beautiful year…may love blossom from your heart and show you the way!

New Album with Friends

Dear all,

I would like to introduce to you an album that is in the making right now!

This album will be a collection of songs that I have made with my friends Dan and Mike.

For a long time my friend Dan has been making lyrics. He is amazing, and has such a flow with his words. I find the words he chooses has the ability to connect with many people and is very beautiful and powerful. I am very happy to be able to collaborate with him and help transform his words into musical expression.

Mike first started out playing the guitar when he was young, but didn’t continue until his 20’s. We got together and I helped him rediscover his love for the guitar and music. What I am most pleased about is how he mentioned to me that his love for the guitar has helped him through difficult times, and again I am glad that I have helped both my friends express themselves and find a way to focus their thoughts in a creative way. Mike has progressed so much in a short space of time, it is unbelievable, it makes me very proud.

This album will be a collection of songs that we have all made together, we are having so much fun meeting up, jamming, writing lyrics and composing music. I believe I am very lucky to be having these experiences, so thank you both!

New Video Section

Dear all,

I would like to bring to your attention a new section of my website, I have now included a video section. The main purpose of this is to highlight the various video projects that I create. To start off with, they will be fun little projects that I create in my spare time.

I will also be including a video blog, whereby I can convey news of the current projects that I am working on. The video blog will be focused more on the experiences that I have had in doing these projects, and the realisations I have made from them.

New Image Section

Dear all,

I would like to bring to your attention a new section of my website, I have now included a image section. I have decided to include some pictures on this page, so that you can view them while listening to the music.

The main purpose for this is just to help you relax and release all tension in the body with the track “Peace”, and then while it is playing you can use these beautiful pictures to refocus your energy and allow yourself to be calm, peaceful, happy and loving.

These are pictures that I have taken whilst traveling to different places. I intentionally try to take pictures of landscapes that showcase the beauty and simplicity of Earth. I often go on bike rides and sometimes just stop and look at the wondrous beauty all around me, these pictures are a result of that.
